Oracabessa, Jamaica - Beyond James Bond

Touching down in Montego Bay, Jamaica presents the first sign that you're in for a tropical treat. Just before landing, there are views of long stretches of light-sand beaches, colorful resorts, and the most crystal-clear, blue waters. Our two hour drive to Oracabessa only added to the excitement, especially with several local stops for fresh coconut water at a fruit stand, Red Stripe beers at a roadside bar, and jerked-chicken from an infamous restaurant. Needless to say, my first time to Jamaica certainly will not be my last.

Portland - Getting Our Oreg’ On!

One of the beauties of American national holidays is the ability to take a long weekend to explore a U.S. city you’ve not been to before. When Memorial Day Weekend came around we swiftly decided on Portland, Oregon. “They” say the best coast is the west coast, and the Portland foodie scene has been receiving a ton of kudos recently. Quebec City, Quebec, a predominantly French-speaking province in Canada, sits on the Saint Lawrence River. The UNESCO World Heritage site has become well-known over the last few years for its spectacular three-day-long New Years Eve celebration.
