10 Day Portugal Road Trip

Being a coastal country, Portugal has so much to offer from fresh seafood to delicate pastries, historic cities to beautiful beaches, ceramic tile to fascinating street art, and some of the smoothest, open roads you’ve ever driven on. Ten days by car in Portugal gave us an ample amount of time to explore everything from large cities, to small towns, and the infamous Algarve - the summer vacation hot spot for, not just locals, but a lot of Europe. The three things to always keep at top of mind are: port wine, pastel de nata and beaches.

Oracabessa, Jamaica - Beyond James Bond

Touching down in Montego Bay, Jamaica presents the first sign that you're in for a tropical treat. Just before landing, there are views of long stretches of light-sand beaches, colorful resorts, and the most crystal-clear, blue waters. Our two hour drive to Oracabessa only added to the excitement, especially with several local stops for fresh coconut water at a fruit stand, Red Stripe beers at a roadside bar, and jerked-chicken from an infamous restaurant. Needless to say, my first time to Jamaica certainly will not be my last.

Portland - Getting Our Oreg’ On!

One of the beauties of American national holidays is the ability to take a long weekend to explore a U.S. city you’ve not been to before. When Memorial Day Weekend came around we swiftly decided on Portland, Oregon. “They” say the best coast is the west coast, and the Portland foodie scene has been receiving a ton of kudos recently. Great food, good weather, nature galore, and an expansive wine country... what more could you ask for?

Girls Weekend in Iceland

If you're looking for adventure and an excuse to wear that great new pair of hiking boots, book a trip to Iceland. I will start off by saying that Iceland is everything you've dreamed of, read about, seen photos of, and so much more. Yep, it's all that and a bag of lava salt chips. From the sprawling green pastures (we landed there on their first day of summer), to mountains that look like wizard hats off in the distance, there is no shortage of unusually gorgeous sites across this incredible country.

New Years Eve in Quebec City, Canada

Quebec City, Quebec, a predominantly French-speaking province in Canada, sits on the Saint Lawrence River. The UNESCO World Heritage site has become well-known over the last few years for its spectacular three-day-long New Years Eve celebration. Naturally, I had to visit and get to scoop the best places to stay, eat, drink and explore.
